**Harmony High School is an "A" school**

High school grades for the 2010-2011 school year were released by the state on Wednesday, January 4 and the news was great for Harmony High School! We received our first "A" in school history! Congratulations Longhorns!!!

**Guidance Counselor Assignments**

Guidance couselors are no longer assigned to students by grade level. Counselors are now assigned by the student's last name. Below are the new counselor assignments:

Ken Blancett - students with last name A-EG

Suzanne Rummel - students with last name El-Lat

Megan Fellows - students with last name Lau-Ri

Alana Pacheco - students with last name Ro-Z

 Announcements

  • Any girl who is a junior and is interested in The American Legion Auxillary Girls State Program should visit guidance for more information. Applications are due by February 24. This program is for junior girls that have an excellent scholastic record, interest in the study of government, are active within their community and have an outgoing personality. You must also be able to attend the 2012 Florida Girls State in Tallahasse from June 15-23 (all expenses paid).


  • The Tampa National College Fair will be held on Sunday, February 26 from 12pm to 3pm at the Tampa Convention Center. This fair is geared towards sophomores, juniors and seniors. Many colleges will be there to talk to potentional students about admissions, financial aid, testing and available majors. The event is Free! Pre-registration is encouraged.   • Longhorn Players present Lucky Stiff on March 1-3 at 7pm in the HHS Auditorium. Tickets will be $10 for adults, $7.00 for students and $5.00 for children 5 and under. Come see Harry and Rita attempt to inherit Tony's will of 6 million dollars while they wheel his dead body from Jersey to Monte Carlo to fulfill his last wishes. Comedy and Intrigue will make you laugh and wonder. Click here to view poster.


  • The Winter Sports Awards will be held Wednesday, March 7 at 6:30 in the Harmony High School auditorium.


  • FCAT Boot Camp
    The FCAT Boot camp is open to anyone who wants to improve their chances of passing the Spring FCAT reading test. The Bootcamp will be held on various Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between March 3 and April 14 in the HHS Media Center. Please click here for more information.
